Today, makeup artist and hair stylist Jennifer Ralda shares her steps to getting lips appear nude. Specifically, how she got my naturally dark purplish lips to appear nude for the spring Style Sessions photo shoot a couple years ago. Ever since, I haven’t been able to craft the same finished look, unaware of a key step – applying foundation. By making the lips go understated, other features or highlights such as the smoky eye effect stand out without competition.
