In what can only be viewed as a victory in the “War on Christmas,” the Republicans of Knox County, Tennessee have selected the Christmas Creature as their nominee for mayor. Pro wrestler Glenn Jacobs, who made his Memphis wrestling debut in 1993 as a heel holiday character wrapped in tinsel, won Tuesday night’s Republican primary for mayor of Knox County by just 17 votes.

Based on the voting demographics of the county, the wrestler best known as The Undertaker’s “brother” Kane is now almost a lock to become the mayor.
