A Visit to Sprouts

Sprouts Farmers Market opened this morning in Lakeland. The store, which has the tag line “Healthy living for less,” was described to me as what would happen if Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s had a baby. That seems about right.

The store is 28,000 square feet (the Kroger on Union is roughly the same size), with an emphasis on fresh, natural, and organic foods. I saw nary a Coke product nor Hershey bar.
