1. Arts in the Park, which seems to be always searching for a new home, takes place this year on the campus of Christian Brothers University. A nice place, we suppose, but it’s not exactly a park, people. What happened to Overton or Audubon?
2. So far, fewer than 40,000 people have visited the “The Art of the Motorcycle” and Wonders admits they have no upcoming shows . The group’s marketing director retires and The Commercial Appeal reports that Wonders president Dick Hackett has “eased out” of his job. 3. Mastercard and Visa report that 40 million credit-card numbers have been pilfered by hackers. We noticed that Corvette purchase on our Visa statement but went ahead and paid it anyway. They’ll surely deliver the car any day now.
4. Southern Baptist leaders are urging families to pull their children out of public schools. A Houston attorney claims that “homosexual activists with their agenda are moving through the public schools like freight trains.” We always wondered why we had to change clothes — in front of other children! — for gym class. We bet that’s what made us so extremely gay.
