The Fly team is on your side — going behind the scenes to answer the hard questions — questions Memphians care about. This week s question comes in the form of a sign discovered at Back Yard Burgers on Union Avenue, Midtown:
It asks, ‘Where do birds sleep?’
Birds (perhaps all of them) sleep at the northeast corner of Madison and Main next to Walgreen s. This photo proves it:
This car is black. It has been buried in bird poo. The street has likewise been buried. Could this be the work of many small birds, or is one very large bird on the loose? If so, what bird native to Memphis is big enough to make such a colossal mess?
Another pass by Back Yard Burgers yielded the answer to our second question:
We were outraged to discover that not only is the burger chain serving up CHICKEN TENDER-LION (an endangered evolutionary anomaly, half-lion, half-chicken, tender and juicy, native to the Galapagos Islands), they allowed one of the 600-pound creatures to escape!
