One of 25 surviving original copies of the Declaration of Independence was in Oxford, Mississippi, for one day last week after a 12-day stint in Nashville — which prompts us to make a familiar complaint: As long as Memphis continues to be overlooked by the big ones, we will continue to be a second-class city.
