Okay, weve got good news and weve got bad news when it comes to the impending Tennessee earthquake. The good news is that one quake doesnt beget another, so says Mondays New York Times. The 6.4 quake off Peru wasnt because of the 6.8 quake in Papua New Guinea or the 6.7 quake in Hawaii last week.
The bad news? The United States Geological Survey estimates that there is a quake of 6.0 or higher somewhere in the world every two and a half days.
