From NewsRadioOnline.com:
Legendary Memphis market vet Tom Prestigiacomo is leaving Hot AC WMC-FM (FM 100) after 27 years in afternoons for similar duties at crosstown Citadel rival WKIM-FM (Kim FM), beginning August 20. Prestigiacomo says the move is a “chance to build something new in a building that’s loaded with talent for a city that loves personalities.”
“This is a great day for WKIM-FM and our Citadel radio cluster,” said market manager Sherri Sawyer. “Tom Prestigiacomo is the ultimate radio professional. His passion for his listeners and for the betterment of our city combine to enhance the newly launched WKIM-FM even further on the road to becoming a destination for Memphis radio listeners.”
“I’m excited about the opportunity to work with an outstanding career broadcaster like Tom,” added PD Lance Tidwell. “Not only does Tom bring Kim FM one of the elite talents in Memphis, but from dealing with him I can tell you it brings us one of the nicest guys in all of radio, too.”
