The Tiger football team has retired the jerseys of six former players (the most recent last season). Three of those players were teammates for one season. This week’s question is a three-parter:
• Who were the three teammates?
• What season did they play together?
• What was the Tigers’ record that season?
Running back Dave Casinelli (#30), offensive lineman Harry Schuh (#79), and linebacker John Bramlett (#64) played together for the 1962 Tigers under coach Spook Murphy. Those Tigers went 8-1, outscoring their opponents 261-67. The Tigers’ only loss that season came in September to an Ole Miss team ranked third in the country.
