Sathit Ep and Phanhsay Phanivong, now both 37, have been indicted on first-degree murder charges in the cold case shooting death of Angela Perkins.
Perkins, 23, was shot on Valentine’s Day in 1994 when she was stopped at a stop sign at Spottswood and Mendenhall. Her murder went unsolved for 20 years until, this past April, an informant led police to Ep and Phanivong. The informant said he witnessed the two men attempting to rob Perkins at the stop sign, and they shot her as she drove away.
No court date has been set yet for Ep and Phanivong, who go by the nicknames Tee and Kappo, respectively.
