Okay, this isn’t normally what we do on this blog, but … haven’t you had your fill of fashion yet this week?
The incomparable Melissa Anderson Sweazy will be signing her new book, Veiled Remarks: A Curious Compendium for the Nuptially Inclined, Thursday, September 24th at Elmwood Cemetery.
The book is supercute (and Melissa doesn’t know this, but it totally matches the decor in my living room) and full of interesting wedding tidbits. Such as the six rites of a Chinese wedding or how the traditional wedding shower began. Or, my personal favorite, the Wehman Brothers guide on how to flirt with one’s eyes, the dining table, a cigar, and a whip. Yes, a whip.
The signing will begin at 5 p.m. in the cemetery’s chapel. Veiled Remarks is also available here.
There will also be cake.
