WAYS OF EATING

Students at Briarcrest Christian School experienced “Farm Day” on October 18th. The event was, according to the Commercial Appeal, designed to help students learn “that some things don’t just come from the grocery store.” Guidance counselor Linda Wilkinson was quoted as saying, “We had things like chicken from all the chickens on the farm and sausage from the pigs.” For an as-yet-unscheduled Urban Day, the children are expected to sample chicken from a dumpster and sausage from a slice of pizza someone left behind Exline’s.
