with instruments from several continents. At tonight’s Freedom Award
Banquet at The Peabody, the National Civil Rights Museum will honor Sidney
Poitier and Oscar Arias. And finally, at JJ’s Lounge, on Walker near Bellevue,
it’s Blues Night with the Larry Lewis trio featuring Butch
Mudbone. Check it out. Or don’t. As always, I really don’t care what you
do this week, because I don’t even know you, and unless you get President Bush
to learn Pakistani president Gen. Pervez Musharraf’s name and stop referring
to him as “that country’s leader,” I’m sure I don’t want to meet you. Besides,
it’s time for me to go buy one of those televangelist videos and see how I
look in a purple beehive wig. Just trying to do my part to help the economy.
