“Year two of the Ed Orgeron era has Rebel fans buzzing about a possible bowl game, and there is good reason for that optimism. The insertion of junior college transfer Brent Schaeffer will be a difference maker and allow the offense to have its best playmaker since Deuce McAllister or Eli Manning. Additionally, Indiana transfer BenJarvus Green-Ellis will help boost a rushing attack that only managed 73 yards per game last season. With Schaeffer and Green-Ellis managing the offensive attack, the Rebels will easily test a Memphis defense that had its share of problems last season. The Tigers allowed 405.4 yards per game last season and struggled to stop opposing passing attacks.
“Although the Tigers may be able to hang with the Rebels, eventually the more talented team will pull away and the Rebels should have a very solid showing in their season opener.”
So goes the prediction at ProFantasy Sports. At least they got the “fantasy” part right.
