Zoo to Raise Ticket Prices Next Year

The Memphis Zoo will raise ticket and membership prices next year.

Zoo officials announced Monday that beginning on January 1, 2019, individual ticket prices will increase by $3, from $15 to $18. Individual annual memberships will rise from $45 to $55. Dual memberships will go from $70 to $85 and family memberships will rise from $99 to $125.

Ticket prices have not gone up since 2010, officials said.

“The reality is that operating expenses have continued to go up due to more animals, more exhibits, and more than one million guests annually,” said Nancy Kelso, the zoo’s vice president of guest services. “To continue to provide top care for our guests and our animals, a price increase was inevitable.”

Membership packages at current prices will be offered until the end of this year.

The zoo will continue to offer free Tennessee Tuesdays all year except for the month of March.
